Types of "Ghosts"

There are different types of energies that people commonly call
"ghosts". Each one is very different and unique.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF "GHOSTS":

Apparition
A traditional apparition is a ghost who interacts with the living,
either for better or worse. These are the spirits who can playfully
hide objects, sit on your bed and frighten you awake, throw sharp
objects, or plea for help. Apparitions such as these are thought to
be held over in this world because of unfinished business or due to
a violent death and need help from the living to resolve their
issues before passing on to the next realm. This is considered
“intelligent” haunting because the ghosts appear to be aware of the
people around them as well as their surroundings.

Residual Energy
A residual haunting are basically recorded images of past events
that replay over and over again in the same place. (Imprints on the
world) These ghosts never vary their routine and do not seem to be
aware of the presence of others. These “recordings” are thought to
be imprints left over from strong emotion at the time of death or
created by magnetic fields that literally tape-record an event.

Anniversary Ghosts
An anniversary ghost is a type of residual haunting where ghosts are
seen on the anniversary of their death, originally caused by some
tragic event. These are particularly common in castle hauntings and
relate back to legends of tragedies from centuries past.

Poltergeist
A poltergeist is described as a disorderly spirit, whose activities
very often center on an adolescent member of a household, who
creates violent havoc by moving objects, making loud noises, and
generally creating unpleasant and potentially dangerous situations.

Messenger Ghosts
A messenger spirit is a type of ghost which is often a family ghost,
often appearing to family members to herald the death of another
family member.

Projection Ghosts
Projection ghosts are ghosts which some say are all in the mind and
are merely a projection of thoughts and fears of the human
subconscious.

Vortex, funnel ghosts
A vortex is a very strange and mysterious phenomena. They usually
take on the appearance of a swirling funnel shape when moving about.
They can also appear in pictures as being long and narrow and having
a tread design within their make up. They are readily confused with
a speeding orb when they slow down and take on this straight &
narrow look.

Elemental Ghosts
Probably the most fascinating and most frightening paranormal
phenomenon in when it comes to ghosts are what are known as
"Elemental Spirits". But what are elemental spirits? An elemental
spirit is best described as a spirit which inhabits nature, such as
legendary/mythical creatures like goblins/elves or brownies. They
are commonly described as shape-shifting spirits, with the ability
to become however big or small, from a solid form to a liquid form
at a blink of an eye. Although reports suggest that people have come
into contact with these spirits, they are quite a rare occurrence.
