The Basics of Protection

Truthfully, I will say that PROTECTION is the most important page of
this entire site. When you deal with the paranormal, it is truly
important to protect your body and your soul. Protection against
evil or negative energy can also be done to your property, job
location, car, etc.

In this section, I will speak of my TOP 10 protection tools and how
to use them.

But before I do... I need to explain that all of these are just items
unless you have your entire FOCUS on getting rid of negative energy
as you use them. The INTENTION is what matters - without that, I
truly believe the protection will not take hold.

1) Smudging (Sage)
I love to smudge Sage. I admit it. I am a smudge addict. :-) Sage
is burned in smudging ceremonies to drive out evil spirits, negative
thoughts and feelings, and to keep negative entities away from areas
where ceremonials take place. In the Plains Sweat lodge, the floor
of the structure is strewn with sage leaves for the participants to
rub on their bodies during the sweat. Sage is also used in keeping
sacred objects safe from negative influence. For me, on a personal
note, when I purchase items for my home, I aways smudge them. To me,
that releases all negative energy that could be coming from other
people touching the items at the store. Just a tip.

Also, when I smudge I always honor the directions, the Sun and the
Earth. This is what I say:

To the EAST, where the Sun rises

To the NORTH, where the Cold comes from

To the WEST, where the Sun sets

To the

SOUTH

, where the Light comes from

I ask my Christ-Consciousness Light to protect

against all negative energies

mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

2) Sea Salt
An item that you can get at your local grocery is my 2nd most
favorite protection item. When you want to hold a space sacred and
clean from negative energy, just surround it by Sea Salt. One thing
that I learned is to take a bag a Sea Salt and gently spread it
around the perimeter of your home and yard - three times - clockwise.
Assuming you keep the correct INTENTION as you do it, this is to
create a barrier in which evil spirits or negative energy cannot
break.

3) The Power of Prayers

4) Herbs
Under the HERBS section, you will see that I list some herbs that
focus on "protection". What I have done is mix some of these herbs
in a small bag, which I carry with me wherever I go. It is the
magickal powers of these special herbs that would create the
protection you desire.

An EXCLUSIVE = I have created my own secret recipe that all of my
friends have asked me for ... and I decided to go ahead and publish
it. It contains 11 herbs and 2 oils. My lucky # 13.

1) Angelica
2) Eucalyptus
3) Bay Leaves
4) Clove
5) Sea Salt (of course!)
6) Peppermint
7) Mugwort
8) Dragon's Blood
9) Sage (of course!)
10) Wormwood
11) Yarrow
12) OIL: Lavender
13) OIL: Frankincense

So, there ya go.

5) Visualization
It is truly important to protect your body and Aura with LIGHT. What
I would recommend is the following - Visualize your body completely
filled with WHITE LIGHT (all negative energy gone - transmuted to
white positive energy). Surround yourself with this light in an egg-
like shape (with you in it). And then surround the egg with VIOLET
LIGHT... and KNOW that nothing negative can come into that space - no
matter where you are or what you are doing.

6) Incense / Oils / Crystals
You saw how I used the two oils in #3. Under the Metaphysics Section
on the home page, you will find an area called "Tools of the Earth."
Under this area, you will see that certain INCENSE, OILS, an CRYSTALS
are specially effective around removing negative energy from a
particular area, therefore allowing you to feel more protected.

7) The Christian Items
I respect ALL of the world's religions, but as many of us, I was born
Catholic. So, if you are under the beliefs of Christianity, thing
like HOLY WATER or SCRIPTURE VERSES may indeed prove to be protective
in certain situations. But remember, it is not actually the water or
the verses that has the power, but YOU TRULY BELIEVING in them and
that they are protecting you -- that is the POWER.

8) Freeze Them Out
For this, you'll need a jar, a piece of paper and a black pen. On a
piece of paper write the name of the person who is causing you harm
(mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically). Put a BIG "X"
across the name, fold the paper and put it into the jar. Finally,
place the jar in the FREEZER. This does not do anything negative to
them. Simply do this with the "intention" that you are "freezing"
that individual from causing you any harm from that point on.

9) Black Candle
A Black Candle is used for the Magick of Protection. Rub some
Frankincense oil on the candle and burn it with the intention of full
protection for you, your family, your property, etc. Truly focus on
the flame as you burn it... and let it burn all the way down.

10) Protection Mirror Spell
A friend taught me this one the other day, and it involves a spell
and a mirror. Here is what you do:

Holding the mirror facing away from you recite the verse below three
(3) times while turning in a circle.

Then, place the mirror in your window facing toward the direction
that your enemy resides.

And those are my TOP 10 protection tools.

Know these, practice them. Do the ones that feel most comfortable to
you -- and just remember that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER -- and indeed that
may be the best protection you could have.
